Kumiko Oumae, the third-year
president of the band club at Kitauji High School, is filled
with anticipation and anxiety. She wonders what kind of new
members will come to the club, whether she will be able to
organize everyone as the band leader, and whether she will be
able to achieve her long-sought goal of winning a gold medal at
the national competition. With these thoughts in mind, Kumiko
spends her days struggling as the head of the club, but even as
a player, a big obstacle appears in front of her. Mayu Kuroe
transferred from a strong school that regularly participates in
the national tournament. The instrument in her hand is the same
as Kumiko's; the euphonium. She is a perfect girl, adored by
everyone around her for her gorgeous tone, excellent playing
skills, and gentle personality. However, the shadow that Mayu
sometimes casts over Kumiko makes her feel indescribable. "Graduation"
is approaching for these youths who have devoted themselves to
the brass band.

Mito Yamamoto is a beautiful man,
so much so that women swarm the restaurant he works at daily.
When the restaurant owner decides that he has had enough, he
fires Mito, leaving him unemployed and with no place to call
home.
Soon after, Mito happens upon a cafe and receives a cut on the
hand from broken glass. A strange man named Ruka Saotome takes
Mito aside to presumably tend to the injury, but instead, he
licks away Mito's blood, remarking that it tastes disgusting
before asking Mito to leave. Later that night, Mito accidentally
slips off the roof of a building and is caught by Ruka, who
reveals himself to be a vampire.
Ruka explains that a man's blood tastes disgusting, and the
blood of someone unloved has an even worse flavor. However, Ruka
cannot drink from girls, so he has been looking for a beautiful
boy to become his thrall. He proposes that Mito fill this role
and that he allow Ruka's affections to "ripen" his blood. Mito
accepts and begins living with Ruka in the Hijirigaoka Boys'
Academy dormitory. However, there is just one problem in all
this: Mito is actually a girl!
The Wonderful
Precure! anime is set in Animal Town, a town where animals and
people live together in harmony. Second-year junior high school
student Iroha Inukai is best friends with her dog named Komugi.
